Description: We will discuss the current conditions facing law firm IT departments including explosive data growth, lack of IT resources and lawyer down time. Then we will review how recent technology and business trends toward High Availability Solutions and Disk to Disk back ups have improved the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of Data Protection and Business Continuity solutions.
Presenter: Andrew J. MacQuarrie, National Account Manager & Compliance Consultant for EVault (a Seagate Company)
Andrew graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance where he focused on Risk Management. He has worked in the IT industry for 12 years, the last 7 of which have been focused on applying risk management principles in the areas of data protection and business continuity. Andrew consults with law firms nationwide developing and implements best practice data protection strategies. He is currently working with over 30 Canadian law firms. EVault has over 500 law firm clients in both North America and Europe.
