We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Toronto Office:
Contract Lawyer – Research Memo Project

REPORTS TO: National Director, Knowledge Management

ROLE: This position is for a one-year or six-month contract to manage and execute a project to migrate research memoranda and other reference materials from an existing system to the Firm's new state-of-the-art intranet.

DUTIES: 
• Screening research memoranda for inclusion in the knowledge management repository
• Reviewing, organizing and classifying research memoranda, articles and other resources
• Preparing brief summaries of materials reviewed for quick reference by users
• Assisting in the creation of a legal topics taxonomy

ATTRIBUTES: 
• The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a research lawyer and/or knowledge management lawyer with a large firm and will possess excellent legal drafting, research and organizational skills with exposure to a broad range of the law.  An Ontario or Alberta call is an asset.
