Hope this is the proper forum to request some feedback and thoughts.
Printer security has hit the news with a little more frequency lately (mostly manufacturer led stories) but wanted to determine how big of a concern it is to the legal community.
- Is printer security an issue or concern for you and your firm?
- What questions would you like answered with regards to printer security?
For example, I have one:
If security is a big concern, why do the manufacturers send out new printers with open ports? We’re thinking about hosting an "industry first" roundtable webinar with our manufacturer partners (like HP, Lexmark, Ricoh, Xerox, Canon, etc.) to answer topical questions our community might have surrounding security and printers/copiers. Being a top-tier strategic partner to most of the iconic office technology brands, I think we can actually get them all on the same platform to address this topic as an education based webinar without the sales pitch.
Any thoughts or questions? I kindly appreciate the feedback!
