Data breaches are occurring at an alarming rate, making it likely that at some point a client will call and say they might have one. In this session, we'll show you how to help your client through it. We will cover "breach 101" and give you a chief security officer's perspective, the legal considerations from a general counsel perspective and the practical considerations for your practice from a business development perspective.

Rebecca Herold is the CEO and founder of The Privacy Professor and a co-founder of SIMBUS360. She has over 25 years of systems engineering, information security, privacy and compliance experience, and holds multiple certifications. Rebecca leads the NIST SGIP smart grid privacy subgroup, is an officer for the IEEE Par 1912 privacy and security architecture for consumer wireless devices working group, an adjunct professor for the Norwich University MSISA program and serves on multiple advisory boards for security, privacy and technology organizations. She is the author of 17 books and hundreds of articles, appears monthly on the KCWI23 morning television show to raise public awareness of current information security and privacy topics, and is frequently interviewed for diverse broadcasts and publications.
