New white paper equips litigation professionals with practical guidance for responsibly integrating AI into their practice

Chicago, IL — 14 September 2026 — The International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), in partnership with Thomson Reuters, today announced the release of AI Guide for Litigators, the second installment in its ongoing white paper series exploring artificial intelligence's impact across the legal profession. The publication follows ILTA's inaugural AI Foundational Guide, released in late June 2026, and continues the organization's commitment to equipping legal professionals with practical, sector-specific AI guidance.
AI Guide for Litigators addresses the unique considerations litigators face when adopting AI tools, from discovery and case strategy to ethical obligations and risk management. The guide draws on the expertise of a cross-section of practitioners, technologists, and thought leaders from across the legal industry.
"As a former litigator now working in legal innovation and technology, I've watched AI conversations stall the moment jargon enters the room. The real work of change management lives or dies on translation between practitioners and technologists. I'm proud to have helped create this guide that breaks AI use in litigation into practical and familiar concepts legal practitioners can use to foster understanding in their work,"said Brendan W. Miller, J.D., Legal Innovation & Practice Transformation Advisor, Former AmLaw 100 Partner.
