With 1636 attendees networking, learning and sharing at ILTACON 2015, one could feel the energy in every room and hallway of Caesars Palace Conference Center. If you could not attend, I hope this re-cap helps you glean some of the salient information shared there.

GREAT SESSIONS

I asked several attendees to share their thoughts on some notable sessions. Everyone noted the quality of all of the sessions they attended. Many bloggers shared their favorites as well. All recorded sessions are now available on the Connected Community under Recordings. Here are a few that received buzz from my connections. “Spark Talks” provided engaging and unique stories on creating a positive and forward thinking impact in one’s organization. Listen for the call to action by Jack Thompson of UPS for law firms and law departments to collaborate and push each other to greatness. The “Deploying and Supporting Microsoft Surface Devices” session provided practical insight into deploying and responding to issues that arise with Microsoft Surface. The “Network Monitoring: Know What Fish Are Swimming in Your Sea” provided many suggestions for open source tools to use in your office. Other buzzworthy sessions included “The Service Desk of Tomorrow,” “Onshoring Back-Office Operations,” “Legal Technology Innovation: Bolstering AND Destroying the Legal Profession,”The Rise of the Machine: Threat, Opportunity or Science Fiction” and “Risk Assessment in a Box.” Some additional sessions had recorded video as well as audio.

ILTACON TV

This year at ILTACON, Monica Bay, freelance journalist and Fellow at CodeX: The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, and Randi Mayes, ILTA’s Executive Director, interviewed several of the thought leaders of ILTA for ILTACON TV.
