Good morning! Curious if anyone regularly or even on occasion uses fuzzy searching. For 7+ years, we haven't but recently had a misspelled search term that wasn't caught as a client. The search term misspelled the entity with one L but our client is correctly spelled with a double L. After it was discovered, we tested the fuzzy search option and that caught the client but also brought in a lot of junk that's difficult to go through. (Our search with 75 search terms brought back ~4000 filtered results)
Intapp support passed along user guide info about fuzzy searching, how it works, etc. And I know it worked correctly but I'm more curious about practically using fuzzy searching. Our specific example highlighted this room for error we hadn't thought about before and trying to balance catching important hits with use of time.
Another thought we had - is anyone aware of a list of large companies with common misspellings or common abbreviations we could upload/manually add in? We added this specific example into our Synonym List after the fact, but obviously it would be more helpful to have on the front end.
Thanks for any insights or thoughts!
