Supervisory Special Agent Prashanth Mekala
has been assigned to the FBI New York Field Office for over 13 years. He spent his first eight years at the FBI working on complex counterintelligence cases, and two years working in FBI Headquarters as a program manager in the Counterintelligence Division's Economic Espionage Unit and Cyber Division's Middle East/Africa Unit. For the past three years, Prashanth has led two investigative teams focused on computer intrusions committed by sophisticated criminal groups, state-sponsors and international terrorist groups.
