Chicago: Sustainable KM - Turning Treadmills Into Windmills

When:  Mar 27, 2018 from 15:00 to 16:30 (CT)

Description

Many of our current knowledge management (KM) initiatives and resources are labor-intensive and require substantial effort to keep them going and to ensure value post-implementation. Consequently, and despite our best intentions, many of these initiatives tend to flame out once our energy wanes, attention shifts or human resources are reduced. Learn how to leverage organizational processes and resources to help your KM tools and programs derive greater benefit and value with less human effort and thereby make them more sustainable.

Join ILTA members in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Toronto and Washington, D.C. for this one-afternoon connected KM event, which is an encore of a highly-rated session from ILTACON 2017. Much of the value of that session was derived from the table discussions, and we aim to replicate those discussions at the local meetings. Takeaways will include:

  • Practical and real-world examples of sustainable KM initiatives
  • Strategies for designing sustainable programs, turning unsustainable ones into sustainable ones, or terminating resources where the payoff doesn’t justify the effort required

NOTE: Space is limited to 10 participants at each location. If registration is full, please email localeventhelp@iltanet.org to be placed on a waitlist.
