Security and Compliance - Retention, Destruction and Disposal Series

When:  Nov 19, 2019 from 13:00 to 14:00 (ET)

Description

We hope you will join us for the fourth and final installment in our compliance, retention and destruction series, as we discuss a variety of information governance (IG) topics, including:

Compliance refers to being in accordance with established guidelines/specifications or the process of becoming so. It can encompass efforts to abide by both industry regulations and government legislation. We'll talk about internal security and/or client requirement-based compliance, aligning internal compliance with client-required compliance, and maneuvering the push/pull between the creator of records (attorneys) and the manager of records

Retention is the condition or state of keeping something, and for how long. We'll talk about internal and/or regulatory-based retention.

Destruction refers to the way a record is destroyed, and when. We'll talk about electronic vs hard copy, who handles it and if not, why not?

Disposal is the way a record can be disposed of, including the transfer of ownership. We'll talk about when to return client files and how you dispose of client-provided material.

In this webinar, we will tackle the challenges facing information governance professionals when it comes to retention and disposition. We hope you will join us for our final discussion.
