Chicago: The State of Law Firms Moving to the Cloud

When:  Oct 23, 2018 from 12:00 to 13:30 (CT)

Description

Looking back over the last few years, only the firms on the cutting edge of technology were moving from on-premise systems, especially for mission-critical applications like litigation docketing. Now we see a very large portion of midsize and large firms either seriously studying it or have actual projects in place.

The changing cybersecurity landscape and increasing challenge of maintaining on-premise solutions are leading more firms to consider cloud-based solutions.

It’s definitely a big decision and not one to be taken lightly. The benefits are well known. Moving to the cloud can make an organization more agile, free up resources, and allow a company to focus on its core competencies, instead of maintaining multiple internal platforms. This increased efficiency can give any organization a competitive edge.

Influencing the decision is a reoccurring concern being raised by clients: Are my internal IT team’s planning and budgeting cycles rapid enough to keep up with the pace of emerging security vulnerabilities? More firms are recognizing that off-premise approaches let them stand on the shoulders of sophisticated security protocols at the cloud data centers.

This presentation will discuss these topics and bring the insights we have gathered working with hundreds of the largest firms across the US.
