ILTA is excited to be collaborating with Rachael Hudson (a qualified coach and panelist at two of our previous ILTA Connect: Women in Legal Tech events) on creating a programme of monthly online group coaching sessions for our members from October 2024 through to March 2025. Our first module focuses on Antidotes for ANTs: (Automatic Negative Thoughts).
Imagine if you had to listen to the same song on repeat every day. Now, imagine that song was one you didn’t even like, and demoralised you instead of inspired you.
For some of us, this is what happens in our minds. Research suggests, we have about 60,000 thoughts per day. Astonishingly, 95% of these thoughts are the same as the ones we had yesterday. Even more startling is that 80% of these habitual thoughts can be negative— that's 45,000 negative thoughts each day! This suggests therefore, that unless we learn how to nip them in the bud and change them, our thoughts, beliefs, and self-talk are likely to be negative.
These repetitive, Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs), a term coined by renowned psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen, can significantly impact how we show up for ourselves mentally and emotionally.
We invite you to join our coaching module, "Stop Negative Thinking: Antidotes for ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts)", where you will learn effective strategies to transform these negative thought patterns and cultivate a more positive mindset. In this session we will:
- Identify and Understand ANTs: Recognise and comprehend the automatic negative thoughts that dominate your mind
- Transform Negative Thoughts: Acquire practical techniques to replace negative thoughts with positive, empowering ones
Which can:
- Improve Mental Well-being: Experience a reduction in stress and anxiety, leading to better overall health
- Boost Productivity and Performance: Positive thinking enhances focus and creativity, leading to improved work performance
- Strengthen Relationships: A positive mindset fosters better communication and collaboration, strengthening personal and professional relationships
- Enhance Resilience: Build a resilient mindset to effectively handle challenges and setbacks
- Increase Overall Happiness: Enjoy a more optimistic outlook and greater life satisfaction
Join us and discover ways to stop negative thinking and reclaim control over your thoughts. Don't let ANTs rule your mind - learn how to create a positive and empowering mental environment and take this step towards a healthier, happier you!
