Denver: Dare To Lead

When:  Mar 4, 2020 from 12:00 to 13:30 (MT)

Description:

Join us for an exciting lunch and learn session. Designed and facilitated by Downstream Partners, the program will introduce attendees to an experiential way of learning about and understanding certain components of the courageous leadership program, Dare to Lead™, based on empirical research conducted by Dr. Brené Brown, PhD LMSW and research professor at the University of Houston. Brené has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy and is the author of five #1 New York Times bestselling books on these topics. Downstream Partners has spent the past seven years integrating Brené's research to optimize productivity on teams and in organizations and is trained and certified in customizing and facilitating the Dare to Lead™ program.

The full Dare to Lead™ program is a compilation of Brené's most current research, which proves that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable:

  • Rumbling with Vulnerability
  • Living into our Values
  • Braving Trust
  • Learning to Rise

While we will not be exposed to the full (16-hour) Dare to Lead™ program, we will be introduced to aspects of the research, as well as guided in how to apply it to our work and personal lives.

Together, we will not only learn key skills in trust-building and brave leadership, we will also practice them together. As a result of this session, we will walk away with an increased skill for how to have courageous conversations, enhanced ability in productive communication and collaboration, and greater capacity and inspiration for creativity in our leadership.
