As Windows 10 deployments mature, the importance of good driver management is key. In this webinar, we will discuss different methods of organizing and deploying hardware drivers within both the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) environments. Topics will include:

  • Driver importance
  • Locating and downloading correct model-specific drivers
  • Importing the necessary drivers into your environment
  • Different techniques for installing model-specific drivers during a task sequence

Speakers

Jason Baker is the Supervisor, Help Desk and Applications Architect at Fish. A leader in the firm's applications, development and support team, he oversees the day-to-day responsibilities of the help desk staff and is responsible for configuring all firm images, application and update packaging and deployment, and managing deployment services.

Scott Ferguson is the Senior Applications Administrator at Bodman PLC. With over 20 years of experience providing practical solutions in the IT field, he has worked in a variety of sectors including automotive, non-profit healthcare, managed IT and now legal services. Scott has implemented and managed multiple MDT solutions, and also employs other Microsoft tools such as USMT, SCCM SCUP to manage endpoints.

Kevin Svec, the IT Director at Sanders & Parks, P.C., has led and directed all IT operations and initiatives for the past 17 years. Smaller firms have the challenge of providing enterprise-class tools on a non-enterprise budget, and Kevin has been creative in finding low- to no-cost solutions, developing in-house applications and performing most implementations with his two-person shop. The firm utilizes many of Microsoft's no-cost solutions including MDT/ADK, USMT, WSUS UEV.
