Design Thinking To Improve Your Document Collection Process In the Age of "Consent"

When:  Oct 8, 2019 from 15:00 to 16:00 (ET)

Description

Innovation. Collaboration. Cloud. BYOD. Social Media…

Just when we thought we understood how to collect documents for discovery, the universe of potential data sources has expanded. Lines have blurred between systems meant for business and personal use. The ubiquity of both business and personal cloud storage tools, mobile devices, direct and group messaging tools as well as "ephemeral" or "self-destructing" messaging systems, have added a layer of complexity and challenge. Added to this, legislation around the globe is raising the stakes for protecting private information and enshrining in law the rights of individuals.

Now more than ever we must rely on relationships with people, the creators of data, to understand where key data is stored and how to protect any private information in it. Join our roundtable discussion about how insights from design thinking (an approach to solving problems that focuses on understanding human needs) can inform and improve the custodian interview process.
