Conference Themes (2026)
1. Practical Innovation with AI & Advanced Technology
This track focuses on usable, real-world takeaways, exploring how lawyers and firms can practically drive:
- Innovation
- Transformation
- Adoption
- Protection - all while utilising and responding to AI and emerging technologies.
2. Into the Age of Legal Unicorns?
The second track zooms out to examine the future of legal organisations and the emerging models likely to dominate the 2030s.
While “Unicorns” are often defined as $1bn‑valued companies, they are equally characterised by:
- Paradigm‑shifting innovation
- Accelerated growth
- Market‑defining impact
Inspired by the original concept popularised by venture capitalist Aileen Lee, this track explores what legal-sector Unicorns might look like—and how they could emerge.
Why Attend?
Today, there are already 11 legal-sector Unicorns—including Harvey, Legora, Clio, Relativity and Everlaw—yet none began life as traditional law firms.
This conference dives into:
- The future of law firms and legal services
- New competitive advantages offered by LegalTech and AI
- How smaller, agile firms can thrive in a transforming market
We’re also taking a highly participatory approach, prioritising discussion, audience involvement, and tackling the most pressing questions—including those that arise on the day.

Many thanks,
Tara Walsh & Emma Nigogosian (Co-Chairs of Women in Legal Tech South West)
