Philadelphia: The Model Rules of Professional Conduct and Your Ethical Duty of Technological Compete

When:  Dec 5, 2019 from 12:00 to 13:30 (ET)

Description

The American Bar Association (ABA) recently adopted a change to the Model Rules of Professional Conduct to clarify that lawyers have a duty to be competent not only in the law and its practice but also in technology. The program will outline a step-by-step process for creating a learning culture in your firm, so technology training is an integral part of providing competent representation to your clients.

We will cover topics including:

  • Get buy-in from management.
  • Form a technology committee.
  • Administer individualized assessments.
  • Increase attorney participation
  • Create customized training.
  • Offer certifications or other competitive incentives

“An investment in ongoing education to keep users up to date, and engaged through using best practices, will help position attorneys and staff to provide the best client experience possible and support continued success for your firm. Our ongoing goal and the information shared through this program will help support those efforts and increase preparedness and effective use of technology.” Jay Stromberg

*Bring your Attorneys! Session has been approved for 1 Ethics CLE Credit.*
