Join us for this moderated panel discussion as we provide an overview of cybersecurity for law firms and discuss legal obligations, what cyber insurance is and what it covers, and recommendations for technical implementations.

Moderator

Henry Chace is the Chief Information Officer at Burns & Levinson LLP, a full-service firm focused on business law, litigation, intellectual property, employment law and private client services with offices in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Responsible for IT strategic planning for the firm, Henry is also a member of the ALA Boston chapter's vendor relations committee and an ILTA Member Liaison.

Panel

Charles P. Bellingrath is a Partner and National Practice Leader for Cyber, Privacy & Technology E&O at ARC Excess & Surplus, LLC. He advises agents and clients on issues related to technology, privacy, and cyber risks, negotiates with carriers on policy terms and conditions, and is responsible for product development and production throughout the U.S. Chas specializes in tailoring tech, cyber and breach response coverage and advises clients on breach preparedness and incident response planning. Previously, he was a senior broker and head of the cyber/tech division at a regional wholesaler, where he initially launched the product. With over 10 years of dedicated cyber, privacy and technology risk expertise, Chas frequently instructs privacy seminars and participates on executive panels for cyber risk conferences, and sits on several producer advisory councils for top insurance carriers and the PLUS CyberRisk Task Force.

William Kyrouz is the Senior Manager of Information Security for Detection and Response at Ropes and Gray LLP. He has been working in the legal information technology community since 2001, with a focus on information security since the advent of 201 CMR 17.10. Bill has led security projects that include ISO 27001 certification, vulnerability management and engaging managed security services providers (MSSP). Active in the LS-ISAO, serving on the executive and threat intelligence committees, Bill is committed to raising the security bar across the industry.

Peter McLaughlin, a Partner at Burns & Levinson LLP, has extensive experience advising U.S. and international clients on handling personal information and complying with privacy and data security protection standards. He has deep experience in the areas of international data transfers, privacy and health data security. Peter represents clients across industry sectors regarding rules governing employee, customer and patient data; responding to regulators from the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and state attorneys general; and supporting post-enforcement compliance obligations. Previously an attorney at DLA Piper, Peter has also served as the assistant general counsel for privacy & security and the global privacy director of a Fortune 20 healthcare company, where he developed and orchestrated the firm's global privacy and data protection program.
