Summary

The responsibility of a Member Liaison is to provide and enhance value to ILTA's members by focusing on opportunities for member relationships, education and collaboration. Member Liaisons help members build relationships with each other and ILTA, and they act as an advocate on behalf of the membership to the association.

 

Term

One year, renewable subject to annual interview/approval

 

Compensation

ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.

 

Responsibilities

  • Educate members on the benefits of ILTA membership
  • Facilitate networking and educational opportunities and events
  • Promote participation opportunities within ILTA
  • Promote all ILTA resources
  • Be responsive to member requests and suggestions
  • Collaborate with other ILTA volunteers and ILTA staff for delivery of services and resources
  • Participate on project teams when needed, to develop programming for local meetings or for law department audience
  • Participate in Member Liaison monthly phone calls
  • Serve as an ambassador for ILTA

 

Qualifications for Service

Objective Criteria

  • Current ILTA member
  • Willingness to accept direction from the volunteer leadership and ILTA staff as required
  • Willingness at all times to act as a reflection of ILTA's core values

  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to execute a project as defined by the volunteer leadership
  • Ability to convey ideas with respectfulness
  • Respect for protocol and history of the organization
