Bio

Vanessa is an Assistant Vice President and the Senior Legal Technology and Litigation Support Administrator with Flagstar Bank, headquartered in Troy, MI. She earned her B.A. from Adrian College and also has a Paralegal Certificate. She was also on the Dean’s list while at both schools. Vanessa is a member of the SBM, Paralegal Section, International Legal Technology Association (Relationship Coordinating Team Member and Corporate Project Planning Committee), and ACC Legal Operations. Vanessa has also worked part time as college professor. She taught at Baker College for the Paralegal Program where she has also previously volunteered her time by serving on the Baker College Paralegal Advisory Board where she assisted the school with receiving ABA accreditation for their program.
Prior to joining the bank, she worked for 3 of the largest law firms in Michigan, and has almost 20 years of litigation experience. During her paralegal career, Ms. Lozzi worked in several areas of civil litigation including Labor and Employment, Securities, Contracts, Product Liability, Class Actions and Appellate work. Vanessa’s paralegal expertise spans from the initial case filing through trial/settlement and she has supported attorneys in numerous trials and arbitrations.
Vanessa’s background and expertise is unique and diverse. She has worked in both the law firm and in a law department environment. Having this experience brings value to the attorney client relationship and allows her to understand both sides of the business model. In addition, she has extensive training and knowledge as a paralegal, as well as understanding the technological aspects and challenges the legal industry faces today. This makes her skill set a valuable asset to employers. Vanessa has the confidence and ability to manage the legal issues while comprehending and understanding the technical side of the coin which allows her to interface with the IT department. In her current role she responsible for many high level cases, projects, reports and vendor relationships. Not only is she self-motivated and a leader amongst her peers, Vanessa is proud of her reputation as competent, trustworthy and dependable. She enjoys being dedicated to her profession and staying heavily involved with my professional associations.
