Chris Emerson serves as the director of Bryan Cave’s Practice Economics Group, an innovative group focused on appropriate pricing and budgeting as well as managing engagements to ensure work is completed successfully, on schedule, and on budget. The group has adapted to law practice many techniques already common in industry. But it has also developed an extensive array of web-based tools to price new engagements, track those engagements in extraordinary detail, analyze and compare engagements in order to develop best practices, report project and budget progress to clients and give managing lawyers extraordinary insight into the operations they supervise.
Chris and the Practice Economics Group also assists clients and lawyers in identifying ways to improve efficiency while maintaining and improving quality by leveraging technology and improving work processes. They work to maximize value to clients, develop pricing arrangements that meet a client’s objectives, and increase the transparency of a client’s legal spend.
