Under the direction of Marketing & Business Development Director of Technology & Process Improvement, the IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing and executing Marketing & Business Development Technology projects in accordance with  the Firm's technology development/integration and project management strategies, policies and procedures.  The position leads and manages all aspects of multiple concurrent and complex systems development and process improvement projects from conceptualization to implementation.  The individual will be responsible for balancing projects with competing priorities and shared resources while managing the technology project portfolio for the Marketing & Business Development Department.  The Project Manager assures systematic, effective and efficient project integration management, scope and requirements management, time and cost management, quality management, cross-functional project team management, project risk management and project communications.  The areas of project management responsibilities may include business analysis, design, development, usability testing, integration and upgrade/enhancement of a combination of the following technologies: Orrick.com; content management systems; marketing databases; Orrick Alumni Web Site; Marketing Proposals Management System; InterAction CRM; multimedia systems, and other web- and portal-based solutions with applications to marketing, business development and communications.

This position collaborates with the Director of Technology & Process Improvement to determine business and process requirements, evaluate technology solutions, and prioritize projects based upon established strategic rationale, business case development and financial analysis.  In addition, the incumbent develops and maintains detailed project documentation, including scope and design documents, project plans, mock-ups and workflow processes, design/configuration changes, technical procedures and RFPs for vendor/contract engagements.  This position also partners and collaborates with members the firm's Marketing & Business Development Team, Information Services & Technology Team (including engineers/developers) and Knowledge Management Team to facilitate the development and implementation of technology projects.  The person also liaises with external vendors and contractors, including evaluation and management of vendor/contract engagements. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university is required.  Degree or coursework/training in computer science, information systems, business, engineering, project management or an IT related field preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• 5-7 years professional experience in information technology in a professional services organization is required.  Technology and/or marketing experience in the legal industry desired.
• 3-5 years experience in project management is required, including all aspects of business requirements and process analysis, systems development, implementation and delivery.
• Thorough knowledge and hands-on understanding of the 9 areas of knowledge in the Project Management Body of Knowledge Guide required.
• Thorough knowledge and hands-on understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including effective user interface design, required.

Job Description:

TECHNICAL SKILLS

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Information Technology Department of Arnold & Porter LLP has four (4) IT Support Specialist openings in the Washington, DC Office.  The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to the Firm and the Firm's clients.  Responsibilities include: Providing end-user support services, trouble shooting assistance, and problem resolution via phone, remote desktop connection, and/or visits to user locations; exhibiting ownership and timely resolution of all incident tickets and change orders; interacting directly with other IT groups to determine the proper remediation for an issue; setting-up and quality assurance testing of new hardware and software for existing and new end-users in the Firm;  and other duties as assigned.  We currently have four (4) openings for four (4) shifts, the table below shows openings and shift:
