When you plan to do redline/track changes on a document, and you want those track changes to show DIFFERENT Reviewers (i.e., ABC and XYZ, etc.) ALWAYS do this step FIRST:
- Open the document.
- Go to File, Info
- At the Check for Issues item if you see “Allow this information to be saved in this file” (see picture below), CLICK on that hyperlink…. This will enable your track changes to be a DIFFERENT color than what is already on the document.
- OTHERWISE, all the track changes will be of one color, and no identifying author will be on the document (and it cannot be changed).
