For the ILTA Compliance and Litigation Support communities, online resources are important to keep track of the latest developments in the industry and find out what thought leaders in these spaces are really doing. Especially during the pandemic, online communities have brought people together like never before.

In light of the importance of communication and online community, ILTA is happy to announce its collaboration with the Association of Certified eDiscovery Experts (ACEDS). ACEDS is the world’s leading educational organization specializing in training and certification in e-discovery, information governance, and related legal disciplines. ACEDS also offers the industry leading CEDS certification, which rigorously tests candidates on legal requirements and best practice in eDiscovery.

“When we spoke with our members about which sister organizations were important, ACEDS’ name came up over and over again. They are a natural fit for our members, and we are a natural fit for theirs. ACEDS offers us a way to reach beyond our core membership” said Gillian Glass, an ILTA Program Planning Council liaison.

“The collaboration between ILTA and ACEDS has already provided a wealth of information to the legal technology, eDiscovery and information governance communities.  The sharing of their collective knowledge and expertise benefits the members of both organizations by offering timely and relevant content and leverages the knowledge of their content contributors and industry experts.”  – Leigh Isaacs, Director-Information Governance, DLA Piper LLP and an ILTA Program Planning Council liaison.

 The collaboration between ILTA and ACEDS will share selected content between the two organisations, ensuring that the best analysis and education are available to members of each community. For ILTA members, the ACEDS webinars, which are now available for viewing, range from cybersecurity basics and the proportionality rule in eDiscovery, to the impact of the rise of cloud applications on eDiscovery. Access to these joint materials are open to the public.
