The Applied Legal Data Analytics (ALDA) Community provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and information, technical and strategic, related to statistics, analytics, and visualization in pursuit of business value and improved organizational decision-making. To facilitate the opportunity for cross-fertilization of concepts and learning, the focus of the community is generally on the “how” or the “means” rather than the “ends” to which the techniques are used. Topics of discussion include data flows, database requirements, ETL approaches, analysis platforms, tools, statistical distributions, linear and non-linear analysis, text analytics, data visualization, legal applications, and data science skillsets.

The Artificial/Augmented Intelligence community focuses on being a platform for legal industry professionals to explore and discuss how AI is impacting and will impact the legal services profession. Topics of discussion include exploration of the new business areas that could benefit from the use of AI technology, possible new areas of innovation involving AI, what tasks could and should AI be doing instead of humans, AI related platforms/tools and how support staff can/should change to support AI in legal services.

The Communication Technologies Community provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and information related to the administration and management of various communications technologies, including applications and platforms that support the mobile workforce, videoconferencing, webcasting and podcasting, wireless technologies, and more.
The Desktop & Applications Services Community provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and information related to applications running on the desktop, including desktop virtualization; all Microsoft products, including SharePoint and Office 365; document assembly and document comparison products; thin-client technologies; and more.
The Developers Community provides a space for developers to work through any problems or questions they have about the research, design, programming and testing of computer software.
ILTA's Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Community provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and information related to an organization's preparation for unforeseen risks to continued operations, including backups, data centers, VoIP, communication strategies and more.
The Document Automation community focuses on document assembly and/or automation technologies and projects, to share advice and best practices, answer questions, and share solutions. Solutions include but not limited to Contract Express, HotDocs, Leaflet.

The Emerging Technologies Community provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and information related to emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, open-source software and standards, virtual reality, the Internet of Things, and more.
The Enterprise Architecture Community focuses on designing information systems and promoting coherence between business units. Key areas include capabilities models, business processes, information architecture, system interfaces, and governance. The Community will host regular presentations on these topics. It will also cover the architectural implications of emerging technologies such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud, and privacy. The community will develop capabilities and data reference models for use by firms, legal departments, and vendors.
