The ILTA Volunteer Awards is just one way we want to show appreciation for the many ILTA volunteers that go above and beyond to help the organization.

Award Eligibility

All ILTA volunteers that have served in a volunteer position during the 2019 calendar year are eligible to be considered (this includes volunteers that may have recently rolled off their volunteer role, or have recently been appointed to a volunteer role).

Award Nomination Process

  • ILTA Staff and ILTA volunteers of all ILTA groups may nominate individuals within ILTA Volunteer Groups to be award recipients.

  • Nominators will be asked to write a statement identifying why they believe someone should be considered for a particular award.

  • Self-nominations are allowed. Self-nominators will also be asked to write a statement identifying why they believe they should be considered for a particular award.

  • The top three nominations (by count) for each award will then be voted on by a committee of ILTA Staff Liaisons to identify the recipients.

Recipient Announcement

ILTA Volunteer Award recipients will be announced on the ILTA website and during Ascend 2020, January 17 - 19, 2020.

FAQ

Is there a limit to how many people I nominate?

There is no limit, you may nominate as many peers as you would like.

I already nominated a peer for one of the awards but feel they qualify for a number of the other awards, which one should I nominate them for?

You may nominate a peer for as many of the different award categories as you feel they may qualify for, just be sure to state the reasoning within each award category for why you feel they should be considered for each particular award.

The nomination form only allows me to identify one volunteer group for the nominee and the person I am nominating volunteers on a number of different ILTA groups, what should I do?

If you would like to acknowledge a nominee’s work in multiple volunteer groups, we encourage you to identify this within the open text boxes provided in the nomination form.
