Description:

PURPOSE:
Content Coordinating Teams fall under the direction of the Program Planning Council liaisons who provide direction to the teams in creating programming deliverables.

ROLE:
The Content Coordinating Team will review the specific areas of focus, target audiences, deliverable numbers and topics that fall under their area of discipline. Each team develops programming deliverables for law firm, law department, local and international audiences and directs deliverables to be executed by Project Teams.

TERM:
One Year; renewable subject to selection process: October 1 to September 30

TEAM COMPOSITION:
The team is comprised of the following roles:

  • Two Program Planning Council members, serving as liaisons
  • One Content Coordinating Team Coordinator
  • Eight to ten Content Coordinating Team members (dependent on team’s areas of focus

The team will be supported by the ILTA Program Manager, Education and Content and an ILTA Project Coordinator as their staff liaisons.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with team members to review potential topics ideas
  • Determine specific deliverables for each
  • Develop and direct deliverables to be executed by Project Teams
  • Collaborate with team members to determine specific types of programming (i.e., webinar, podcast, article, etc.) for each topic
  • Act as Program Sponsor for at least three to five items of programming per year, to ensure Content Coordinating Team programming ideas are maintained through completion by attending Project Team kickoff calls and serving as a resource for Project Team questions
  • Assist Online Community Champion for the eGroups the Content Team covers to ensure highly valuable engagement opportunities, raise the visibility of the topics, gather member feedback on initiatives, source hot topics to be used for programming and encourage greater utilization
  • Work with ILTA publication staff to provide editorial and content oversight for creation of white papers, surveys, Peer to Peer publications, etc. to ensure the Programming Framework is covered. Act as guest editor to review article subjects, validity and substance when needed
  • Promote upcoming ILTA opportunities, events, programming and publication content through ILTA eGroups, social media and other resources as deemed appropriate
  • Be a resource to conference planning committee and other committees by providing content ideas. Explore more cross team collaboration with content teams and team coordinators of the conference committee at ASCEND
  • Ensure the area of focus is identified on all programming so it is properly tagged and searchable on website
  • Collaborate between calls using Slack channels to fill in or complete upcoming programming ideas
  • Review vendor programming for local events, roadshows and webinars, as needed, to ensure topic, title, description, content and speakers meet the needs of the target audience
  • Abide by ILTA's Conflict of Interest Policy

DUTIES:

  • Participate in monthly one-hour conference calls
  • Participate in in-person meeting(s)
  • Liaise with staff and Project Team(s) to execute particular deliverables
  • Participate in content development between monthly calls via Slack channels and email
  • Serve as an ambassador for ILTA by promoting content team programming

In Person Meetings (with most travel expenses covered by ILTA):

  • ASCEND (January)

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SERVICE:

Objective Criteria:

  • ILTA member
  • At least two years’ experience working in legal technology
  • At least two years’ experience in the areas of focus and target audiences of the specific area of discipline for the team
  • Experience as a speaker, author, or regular e-group contributor (or other volunteer experience within ILTA or similar professional organization
  • Willingness to accept direction from the volunteer leadership and ILTA staff as required
  • Willingness at all times to act as a reflection of ILTA’s core values

COMPENSATION:
ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.
