Vivian Liu-Somers is Senior Product Owner overseeing legal technology for Liberty Mutual’s Corporate Legal Department. She is responsible for translating legal department vision into legal technology strategy and manages a team of Product Owners across the legal technology portfolio.
Vivian has been working as a liaison between legal users and technology teams for over 25 years. She joined Liberty Mutual and the Legal Department in 2016. In prior positions, she has created and established market research and litigation support departments, managed litigation paralegal teams, and served as Liberty outside counsel.
Vivian graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. She clerked for the Honorable Kenneth Laurence of the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and was a Staff Attorney for the Supreme Judicial Court in Massachusetts.
