In this webinar, two ILTA members from Seyfarth Shaw will give an overview of the ever-expanding definition of the Internet of Things, and discuss how it relates to existing and emerging technologies. Topics will also include:

  • Case law related to the use of non-traditional evidence involving non-traditional devices
  • Additional litigation use-cases for connected device data
  • Ethical issues and security risks for corporations and law firms, as well as mitigation strategies

Speakers:
Matt Christoff
, an Associate in the commercial litigation practice group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, focuses his practice on issues involving ediscovery including electronic document forensics, review, production and remediation. He has a technical background in computer support, network administration and computer programming. Matt is also an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), and assists with the forensic collection and analysis of electronically stored information.

Jaime Raba is an Attorney in the ediscovery and information governance practice group of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. His legal practice is dedicated to ediscovery litigation response, information security and information technology issues. Jaime draws on his programming and systems administration background in advising clients on matters involving data analysis, privacy, forensics, legacy systems and technology risk management. He counsels clients on cost-effective ediscovery in complex litigation proceedings on topics including preservation, litigation holds, collection, review, production and complex privilege issues.
