In the fall of 2021, the ILTA membership voted to change ILTA's method of electing the Board of Directors. Implementation of the new method requires updating the Bylaws. Also, as the updates affect the election of the Board, the changes must be approved by the membership in a separate vote.
Following the vote, we seated a Governance Committee to review the Bylaws and prepare the appropriate changes, as well as collateral regarding the changes.
In addition to the changes required by the member vote, the Governance Committee also considered items relating to adherence to Texas law and to addressing areas where questions have arisen.
