Please join us as a Supervisory Special Agent from the FBI discusses current criminal and national security cyber threats to home and business computer users, including specific examples observed through recent FBI investigations. We will also discuss best practices the FBI considers effective at preventing, detecting and remediating these threats. Finally, we'll review how computer intrusion victims can contact and work with the FBI in the event of an incident.

Presenter

Matthew Braverman is a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) at the FBI's Washington field office, where his squad is responsible for investigating complex state-sponsored computer intrusions targeting organizations in DC and Northern Virginia. With the FBI since 2007, SSA Braverman has also worked in the FBI's Buffalo field office, investigating cybercrime. He was previously a program manager in Microsoft's antimalware team.
