Corporate Member Liaisons

The responsibility of a Corporate Member Liaison is to provide and enhance value to ILTA's non-law firm members by focusing on opportunities for member relationships, education and collaboration. Corporate Member Liaisons help members build relationships with each other and ILTA, and act as an advocate on behalf of the corporate membership to the association.

Corporate Member Liaisons are resources for enhancing the value of the ILTA non-law firm membership. Liaisons organize local corporate member programming, plan social events and help answer membership questions. They assist ILTA in delivery of ILTA services around their local area as well as encourage participation in ILTA.

ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.

The team is comprised of the following roles: 

  • One Program Planning Council Member, serving as liaisons for the Relationship Coordinating Team
  • Six to eight Relationship Coordinating Team members, serving as mentors for Member Liaisons
  • Member Liaisons serving corporate members
The team will be supported by the ILTA Local Events and Education Manager, Relationship Manager and Corporate Community Manager.

TERM: One year, renewable subject to annual interview/approval: January 1 to December 31.


  • Deliver local networking and educational opportunities and events to corporate members
  • Recruit project teams as needed to focus on special local programming opportunities, particularly for corporate membership
  • Plan, develop and deliver curriculum of events in local area
  • Promote participation opportunities within ILTA
  • Utilize ILTA resources related to position and be proficient with ILTA tools such as Communities of Interests, SharePoint, Slack, website, etc.
  • Be responsive to corporate member requests and suggestions
  • Educate corporate members on the benefits of ILTA membership
  • Collaborate with other ILTA volunteers and ILTA staff for delivery of services and resources
  • Promote all ILTA resources
  • Act as an ILTA ambassador at all times


  • New members are required to participate in mentoring program offered by Relationship Coordinating Team
  • Provide yearly corporate programming outline to use as a guide
  • Participate on project teams when needed, to develop local programming deliverable
  • Coordinate with Relationship Coordinating Team on various projects and initiatives
  • Participate in Corporate Member Liaison monthly phone calls
