Summary:
ILTA Charter Ambassadors will help develop and pilot a new program to actively recruit new members and drive awareness of ILTA content and events. The Charter Ambassadors will define the role of the ILTA Ambassador and create a toolkit to help them effectively increase engagement among ILTA members. The Charter Ambassadors will test out the materials and provide feedback to improve the program during development. They will focus on increasing the number of individual participants within their member organizations.
Term: One year, renewable subject to annual review/approval
Compensation: ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the ILTA Ambassador job description
- Create and test an Ambassador Toolkit
- Reach out to individuals within your organization who aren’t yet signed up and encourage them to create an ILTA profile
- Report back to the charter group on what works and what needs improvement
- Help promote the Ambassador Program and recruit new Ambassadors
Qualifications for Service:
Objective Criteria:
- ILTA member for at least three years
- Serve in or have served in an ILTA volunteer role and/or actively participate in at least one online Community
- Regularly attends ILTA events, such as local meetings, virtual events, and conferences
- Willingness at all times to act as a reflection of ILTA's core values
Subjective Criteria:
- Express passion and enthusiasm for ILTA and its mission
- Thrives on connecting people to each other and to resources
- Professional demeanor
- Respect for protocol and history of the organization
Desired Skills:
- Effective interpersonal communication
- Comfortable with making connections either in person or online
