NextGen Legal Innovator Advisory

NextGen Legal Innovator Advisory

Introduction

The NextGen Legal Innovators (NGLI) Advisory Group stands as a model of authenticity and engagement within ILTA. It brings together emerging professionals who have demonstrated commitment and insight, ensuring their voices shape ILTA’s future offerings.

NGLI connects young professionals with ILTA leadership and resources, transforming participation into strategic collaboration that drives innovation across the legal technology community. For ILTA members, this means direct access to fresh perspectives, tailored content, and meaningful networking opportunities supported by clear, two-way channels for feedback and advocacy.

For young professionals, the Advisory Group offers a platform to influence ILTA’s programmers, engage in leadership opportunities, and build a strong professional network alongside guidance from experienced ILTA volunteers and staff.

Ultimately, NGLI strengthens ILTA’s global community by fostering open dialogue, shared learning, and collaborative innovation between emerging talent and established leaders.

Structure of NGLI

The NGLI consists of two co-chairs and up to nine members, including at least one business partner participant, supported by an ILTA staff member and one ILTA staff support resource. Three subgroups have been created to ensure that initiatives remain strategic, educational, relevant, and mission‑driven:

  • Accessibility & Operations
    • This group fosters easier and more prevalent ways for young professionals to connect and engage with ILTA, including streamlining processes and operational touchpoints to ensure offerings remain accessible and relevant.
  • Content & Social Media
    • This group tailors content that resonates with young professionals, delivering targeted, relatable material through appropriate channels to strengthen ILTA’s digital presence and engagement.
  • Events, Talent & Networking
    • This area aims to build a vibrant young professional community through events and networking opportunities, driving initiatives that enhance talent engagement and foster meaningful connections within ILTA.

Both the subgroups and the broader NGLI membership meet regularly to maintain consistent messaging and foster collaboration between advisory members and ILTA leadership, driving change and shaping the future direction of the ILTA organisation.
