Skill Matrix Dashboard

This interactive dashboard provides a quick view of the critical skills and qualifications sought by various cybersecurity fields. Each skill is rated on a 1–5 scale to show its importance, and grouped into Technical Skills, Soft Skills, Certifications, or Other (Additional) Skills. Job seekers can use this information to see which competencies matter most for their desired role.

Scholarships

Security is calling your name but the budget isn’t there? Good news- we have scholarship programs! Scholarship opportunities support women who are currently working in or looking to enter the cybersecurity field. These scholarships provide financial assistance for professional training, certifications, and conference participation, helping women enhance their skills, advance their careers, and increase representation in the industry.

Women in Security (Kansas City)
Recipients of Scholarship Grants must be pursuing or intending to pursue a degree or certification with a cybersecurity or information security focus. Recipients may be attending or planning to attend courses on campus or online, full-time or part-time.

ILTACON
A judging panel reviews each application and communicates its decision by the deadline set each year. If selected, ILTA staff will be in touch with you to coordinate your registration and travel for ILTACON 2025!

Local ISSA Groups
To be eligible for an ISSAEF scholarship a student must be pursuing a career in cybersecurity, and must be an active, full-time undergraduate or graduate student in an information security-related program. The applicant must fulfill the eligibility requirements as established by the ISSA Educational Foundation (ISSAEF) Scholarship Committee.

NICE Framework
The Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity, commonly referred to as the NICE Framework, is a nationally focused resource to help employers develop their cybersecurity workforce. It establishes a common lexicon that describes cybersecurity work and workers regardless of where or for whom the work is performed.

Cyber Career Framework
The UK Cyber Security Council provides details about the 15 specialisms in cyber security, and suggests pathways through and between them. It's a flexible definition that individual practitioners - current or future - can use to plan out a possible career; it's not a standard to be followed rigidly.
