Legal Project Management and eDiscovery - an obvious HOT topic

Yesterday I attended the Litigation Project Management and E-Discovery Teleforum. The concept of a teleform blew me away, I wondered how will everyone speak without stepping all over each other? Well, Julie Brown and Cari Matias did an amazing job moderating the speakers and keeping the conversation on point. Interesting to me is how many firms - big and small are ulilizing legal project management in eDiscovery. Even the conversation (and education) about the L600 codes on client bills became a meaty discussion. Questions were asked to the group and discussions at times seemed like casual friends just giving each other advice.

I understand that there were so many people registered for the teleforum, the chat room had to be opened. If you were not able to make the call or get on the ILTA Adobe connect chat room yesterday, here are a few questions discussed during the call:

Is your firm applying LPM to the entire case, or just the eDiscovery component?
At what point do you start front loading the costs for eDiscovery?
At what phases of litigation do you apply LPM?
What LPM tools are your firms supplying and is there a playbook or template available out there?
Who is still using Litigiation Support matter intake form and does it tie into your LPM?

Once again Julie and Cari did a wonderful job and would like to get a few ideas from the ILTA members on what they would like to discuss on the May Teleforum.  I look forward to revisiting this blog and seeing any feedback regarding yesterdays teleforum or an idea for the next one!
