CIO at Macfarlanes, a corporate law firm headquartered in London, United Kingdom. We advise national and multinational companies, business leaders and high-net-worth individuals in the UK and internationally across the full range of corporate and commercial matters as well as on their private affairs. As CIO, I lead a team of 40 technology professionals and am responsible for setting and implementing the firm's IT and information security strategies.
A member of the firm's Executive Committee and a Chartered Fellow of the BCS, I've spent the last 20 years leading legal technology teams and transformation programmes, joining Macfarlanes in 2016.
Beyond Macfarlanes, I've tried hard to help extend ILTA's international reach, particularly in the UK and Europe. I’m a member of ILTA’s Talent Council and G200 Advisory Panel, co-chair of the International Programming Team, and I co-chaired the ILTACON Europe conference in 2018, 2019 and 2022. I’m also a member of legal technology innovation group, LITIG, and recently completed (and highly recommend) Suffolk University Law School’s Legal Innovation and Technology Certificate.
