The ILTA Tech Survey Copy Editor will assist ILTA staff and Tech Survey Committee members in the review and copyediting of the annual ILTA Technology Survey provided to 26,000+ members, business partners, and individuals working in legal technology. The Technology survey consists of approximately 167 questions in three broad categories: Hardware, Software (on prem & cloud), and Practice Management tools.
ILTA Tech Survey Copyeditors will tackle an assigned set of questions (based on copyeditors’ skillsets, background, and interests); each category of the Tech Survey will have two copyeditors dedicated. Each copyeditor will be responsible for ensuring the questions they are reviewing are clear, consistently presented, grammatically correct, and unambiguous. Each copyeditor will be responsible for up to 56 questions, but no less than 28 questions, depending upon the complexity of the questions.
Individuals selected to serve as ILTA Tech Survey Copyeditors will be required to (electronically) sign the ILTA Non-Disclosure Agreement and the ILTA Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form before beginning their volunteer role.
