It will likely take you less time to measure the value of ILTA Pulse, ILTA’s recently launched news site for all things legal tech. After spending 20-30 seconds on the site, browsing articles, legal insights, and expert analysis, I was sold (with an elevated heart rate). Not only is the site well-organized based on areas of interest chosen by ILTA volunteers, but the visually pleasing pages are also filled with recent surveys and industry reports, topical spotlights, and industry insights from established legal media heavyweights, including Above the Law, LawSites/LawNext, and ALM/Law.com.
When I first heard about the plans for ILTA Pulse, I enthusiastically applauded the concept. Why the excitement? Ever since I began my ILTA (then LawNet) journey in the late 1990s and witnessed firsthand the expertise, knowledge, insights, and community that ILTANs offer, I have always felt that outsiders underappreciate the legal technology association. The numerous volunteers and burgeoning membership, chock-full of legal technology subject matter experts, have so much to say, wisdom to impart, and best practices to share. As a promoter and “spreader of news” at my core, I have always wondered how we could shine a brighter light and, most importantly, share the endless nuggets of legal tech gold with the broader community. ILTA Pulse takes a massive step in achieving this.
