Description:

PURPOSE:
A Relationship Coordinating Team member will select and mentor volunteers that focus on member networking (both law firm and law department members), and the relationship that the members have with the organization.

ROLE:
The Relationship Coordinating Team ensures that members are aware of ILTA benefits and receiving educational and networking opportunities through the delivery of local meetings.

TERM:
One-year, renewable subject to application/interview process: September 1 – August 31

TEAM COMPOSITION:

The team is comprised of the following roles:

  • One Program Planning Council Liaison, serving as liaison for the Relationship Coordinating Team
  • Six to eight Relationship Coordinating Team members, serving as mentors for Member Liaisons
  • ILTA Staff associated with Education and Member Services


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute ILTA's Programming Framework with respect to local programming
  • Coordinates projects, initiatives and general ‘operations’ with the Program Planning Council liaison to the Relationship Coordinating Team
  • Focus on local meeting initiatives (improving, rebranding, etc.) and coordinate with Program Planning on the delivery of produced content to members
  • Function as a Member Ambassador group to promote the origination and expand participation by existing member entities and engage potential member entities to join Ambassador program
  • Provide programming feedback from members to the Program Planning Council
  • Participate in discussions related to supporting and meeting the needs of our local membership
  • Mentor and support Member Liaisons in delivery of local meetings and supporting local members.
  • Recruit project teams as needed to focus on special local programming opportunities, particularly for corporate membership
  • Collaborate with other Content Coordinating Teams to ensure educational programming opportunities are being developed for use at local meetings (both local and virtual opportunities)
  • Coordinate with the Program Planning Council liaisons on projects and initiatives related to local meeting initiatives (improving, rebranding, etc.)
  • Mentor Member Liaisons to participate on content project teams when appropriate to develop local programming deliverables
  • Monitor and evaluate member base, and identify cities/areas where local or corporate Member Liaison representation should be modified
  • Coordinate with the Program Planning Council liaisons on projects and initiatives related to expanding participation by existing member entities and engaging potential member entities to join (Member Ambassador)
  • Work with Staff and Member Liaisons to review and support onboarding processes for new participants and member entities

DUTIES:

  • Participate in Relationship Coordinating Team meetings (one in person meeting) and monthly phone calls
  • Coordinate with ILTA staff that will lead the Member Liaisons/Project Teams to facilitate the highest level of networking and educational opportunities
  • Serve as an ambassador for ILTA
  • Abide by ILTA's Conflict of Interest Policy

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SERVICE

Objective Criteria:

  • ILTA member
  • Complete the ILTA Conflict of Interest Form
  • At least two years’ experience working in legal technology
  • At least 2 years experience as an ILTA Member Liaison
  • Experience as a speaker, author, or regular e-group contributor (or other volunteer experience within ILTA or similar professional organization)
  • Willingness to accept direction from the volunteer leadership and ILTA staff as required
  • Willingness at all times to act as a reflection of ILTA’s core values

COMPENSATION:

ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.
