Description:

PURPOSE:
The Content Team Coordinator is a key member and leader of the Content Team, working in close partnership with ILTA staff and the team’s Programming Committee Liaison(s) to foster a collaborative environment focused on developing high-quality educational content.


ROLE:
Team Coordinators will lead designated Content Teams by helping them meet their goals of developing advanced and thought-provoking educational sessions within ILTA’s programming framework. They will help to build and support their team of volunteers and aiding their team members’ professional development. The Team Coordinators will also mentor content team members in developing educational sessions related to specific audience groups or areas of focus, determine collaboration opportunities between other Content Teams, ILTACON committee and act as communication conduits and coaches.  

TERM:
14-month commitment (July 1 – August 31); renewable subject to the selection process.

TEAM COMPOSITION:
The Content Coordinating Team is comprised of the following roles:

  • One (Possibly two) Programming Committee General Liaisons, serving as strategic liaisons to the Content Team
  • One Content Coordinating Team, Team Coordinator
  • Up to Ten Content Team volunteer members 


The team will be supported by a dedicated ILTA Digital Education Coordinator as their staff liaison.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Content Team members to develop (5-6) quality educational programing for ILTA members based on areas of focus and target members per quarter
  • Help assist and lead with Just-In-Time content that could arise that is critical for the team.
  • Lead and manage monthly calls with the assistance of ILTA Staff, while keeping the team on task and working through planned agendas  
  • Execute ILTA's strategic goal of member engagement through delivering premier programming year-round
  • Embrace a flexible approach to programming
  • Exhibit a positive communication style in person, on Zoom and through email/Teams messages with Programming Committing liaisons, Content Coordinating Team members, other volunteer leaders, and ILTA staff
  • Review and approve monthly meeting agenda drafts created by ILTA Staff in a timely manner
  • Seek input from ILTA Staff to identify programming gaps in format type and ensure volunteers are actively participating per term
  • Collaborate with fellow Content Team Coordinators to identify common themes and to identify gaps. This will be done on a quarterly one-hour call to make the other team coordinators aware of upcoming programming and see if any potential collaboration exists. 
  • Collaborate with Content Team volunteers and ILTA Staff between calls using MS Teams channels to fill in or complete upcoming programming ideas and foster strong team culture
  • Collaborate with ILTA staff and help reach out to members who miss monthly calls and/or are not responsive with session details or moving sessions forward in a timely manner. Mentor new volunteers, as needed. 
  • Help assist ILTA staff in promoting/sharing completed content and surveys
  • Abide by ILTA's Conflict of Interest Policy


DUTIES:

  • Lead monthly 60-minute team calls
  • Liaise with ILTA staff and volunteer groups to execute deliverables
  • Participate and check-in on team discussions via respective MS Teams channels, on an ongoing weekly basis
  • Participate in active collaboration with ILTACON Team Coordinators to identify programming topics that complement their deliverables
  • In collaboration with ILTA staff, help provide quarterly reports to: Member Liaisons, Strategic Business Partner Liaisons, UK Special Interest Groups, SLTs – both completed and future programming for participation
  • Review Quarterly Performance with ILTA Staff liaisons, identifying any areas of improvement, adjusting for gaps in education, formats and conveying this information to Content Team members
  • Identify any Content Team performance issues and address as needed
  • Serve as an ambassador for ILTA

In Person or Digital Meetings (with most travel expenses covered by ILTA):

  • Fall Programming Meeting (Virtual most likely or in-person)

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SERVICE:
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • ILTA member
  • Active Business Partner (ILTA365 and above), Industry Participant or Associate Participant. Membership or Sponsorship must be in good standing.
  • Previous service of at least one year on Content Team
  • Complete the ILTA Conflict of Interest Form
  • At least two years’ experience working in legal technology
  • Experience as a speaker, author, or regular online community contributor (or other volunteer experience within ILTA or similar professional organization)
  • Willingness to accept direction from the volunteer leadership and ILTA staff as required
  • Willingness to always act as a reflection of ILTA’s core values

COMPENSATION:
ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.
