Horace Wu is the founder and CEO of Syntheia, a knowledge platform for lawyers.
Originally from Sydney, Horace spent over a decade practicing as a banking and finance lawyer and an M&A lawyer for top tier law firms in Australia and in the US. Horace has also worked as an in-house legal counsel for listed Australian companies, primarily supporting those companies in global expansion projects, including expansions in the US and in Africa. Prior to Syntheia, Horace founded a consumer-facing app that provided users with personalized recommendations for events and entertainment by learning their individual preferences. Horace also serves as a non-executive director on the board of the Australian Legal Technology Association.
Having practiced as a lawyer for many years, Horace has a special interest in creating and building products that make it easy to access, analyze and understand legal data.
