PURPOSE:
Member Liaisons promote, educate, and advance ILTA membership and benefits at a local level, and foster member integration into the organization.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Member Liaison's role includes:
· Plan, develop, and deliver local programming and networking events
· Facilitate opportunities for members and business partners to build relationships with each other and with ILTA
· Work with ILTA staff to coordinate local events, vendor support, etc.
· Assist in answering membership questions
· Encourage participation in ILTA
· Network and brainstorm with Member Liaisons and other Local Experience team members for successful planning and networking
TERM:
· One year, renewable subject to annual interview/approval: January 1 to December 31
· Staggered, where possible
DUTIES:
· Schedule and coordinate local meetings, socials, and roadshows in assigned area (at least 4 per year)
· Member Liaisons are required to participate in monthly phone calls and continuing education events
· New Member Liaisons are required to participate in training sessions
· Participate in project teams to develop local programming deliverables
· Provide timely responses to ILTA Staff and Local Experience Co-Chair requests.
· Coordinate with Local Experience Co-Chairs on various projects and initiatives
· Be an ILTA Advocate
· Promote ILTA resources
· Be responsive to member requests and suggestions
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SERVICE:
Minimum Criteria:
· Active ILTA member, business partner or industry participant
· Complete the ILTA Conflict of Interest Form
· At least one year of experience working in legal technology/legal industry
· Ability to accept directions from volunteer leadership and ILTA staff as required
· Ability to lead a team and work within a team environment
· Act as a reflection of ILTA’s core values at all times
· Ability to work within a goal-oriented, results-driven team
· Ability to execute a project as defined by the volunteer leader/staff
· Ability to convey ideas with respect
· Ability to provide practical programming direction for the organization
· Understanding of ILTA’s membership benefits

COMPENSATION:
ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.
