Description:

PURPOSE:

The Local Experience Operations Committee oversees the operational aspects of the ILTA local experience by overseeing the teams dedicated to recruiting new member liaisons, ensuring those liaisons are properly onboarded and trained, creating and maintaining the playbook for running local events, and promoting the events.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Local Experience Committee is comprised of three different teams with a specific focus.  Members are assigned a team upon their start with the Committee.  Those teams are the Marketing, Recruiting and Training.  They have the following roles and responsibilities:

·         Marketing Team

o   Participate in the Local Experience Operations Committee to collaborate and cross-pollinate planning across the committees

o   Ensure that local events are well promoted

o   Provide reporting metrics on promotion efforts to the committee on an ongoing basis

o   Work with Recruiting and Training teams to operationalize responsibilities

·         Recruiting Team

o   Participate in the Local Experience Operations Committee to collaborate and cross-pollinate planning across the committees

o   Ensure that the ML roles are fully staffed

o   Provide reporting metrics on recruiting efforts to the committee on an ongoing basis

o   Work with Marketing and Training teams to operationalize responsibilities

·         Training Team

o   Participate in the Local Experience Operations Committee to collaborate and cross-pollinate planning across the committees

o   Ensure that MLs and other team members have adequate training and documentation to create effective local events

o   Provide reporting metrics on training and documentation efforts to the committee on an ongoing basis

o   Work with Recruiting and Marketing teams to operationalize responsibilities

TERM:

·         Two-year, renewable for up to three consecutive terms; subject to selection process

·         Staggered, where possible

·         Can reapply after two years of non-service

 

DUTIES:

·                     Coordinate between different teams to implement and streamline team related responsibilities.

·                     Collaborate with cross-functional committees by actively participating in the Local Experience Operations Committee to support integrated planning efforts

·                     Prepare and deliver regular reporting metrics on team activities and outcomes to the Operations Committee

·                     Marketing Team

·                     Drive marketing efforts for local events

·                     Create and implement a program to market success stories for local events

·                     Recruiting Team

·                     Drive recruiting initiatives to ensure all ML roles are fully staffed in alignment with organizational needs

·                     Training Team

·                     Drive onboarding training for new Local Experience team members

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SERVICE:

Minimum Criteria:

·         Active ILTA member, business partner or industry participant

·         Submit a completed ILTA Conflict of Interest Form

·         Ability to lead a team and work within a team environment

·         Volunteer experience, either within ILTA or similar professional organization

·         Ability to accept direction from the volunteer leadership and ILTA staff as required

·         Consistently demonstrate and uphold ILTA’s core values in all actions and interactions

Preferred Skills:

·         Project management experience, especially documentation of structures and processes

·         Experience with event marketing

·         Effective interpersonal communication

·         Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

·         Ability to respond to shifting priorities

COMPENSATION:

ILTA volunteer leaders do not receive compensation for their services but may be reimbursed for expenses.
